The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the SBI Circle Based Officer (CBO) Recruitment 2026 notification to fill 2273 vacancies across different circles in India. SBI CBO Vacancy Details 2026
The total 2273 vacancies are distributed across 16 SBI Circles such as Amaravati, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai Metro, Maharashtra, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Bhopal, Gandhinagar, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar and Thiruvananthapuram. Each circle has a specified local language requirement, and candidates must be proficient in at least one of the prescribed languages of the selected circle.
Applicants are allowed to apply for only one circle, and the merit list will be prepared circle-wise and category-wise.
Eligibility Criteria for SBI CBO 2026
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government. Candidates holding professional qualifications such as Engineering, Medical degrees, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Cost Accountant are also eligible to apply.
Experience Requirement
Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank as on 31 December 2025.
Candidates working in private sector banks must be drawing a minimum annual gross salary of ₹9.50 lakhs, and documentary proof such as salary slips or Form-16 is mandatory.
Local Language Proficiency
Candidates must be able to read, write, and understand the local language of the circle they apply for. Those who have studied the local language in 10th or 12th standard will be exempted from the language test.

SBI CBO Salary Structure & Benefits
The selected candidates will receive a starting basic pay of ₹48,480 in the pay scale:48480-2000/7-62480-2340/2-67160-2680/7-85920
In addition to basic pay, officers will be entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) or Lease Rental, City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), Provident Fund (PF), New Pension Scheme (NPS), Leave Fare Concession (LFC), medical facilities, and other benefits as per SBI rules.
